A very popular revolver for its time, the model 1851 Navy revolver was adopted by both the U.S. and British military. The .44 caliber model has a brass frame, with a 7-1/2" barrel. It received its name from the depiction on the cylinder of the Texas Navy's victory over the Mexican fleet in 1843.
