This striker fired pistol includes FN's famous cold-hammer forged barrels with a recessed target crown for pinpoint accuracy. The 509 MRD features the FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System that is compatible with most of the popular micro red dot pistol optics on the market today. Additionally, the sights are built to the right height to co-witness with many optics for the ultimate in precision shot placement. Like the 509 before it, the 509 MRD has an ambidextrous slide stop, a loaded chamber indicator, enhanced front and rear cocking serrations and no safety to get in the way. The ergonomic polymer frame is resilient enough to stand up to the worst conditions and interchangeable back straps ensure the perfect fit for a positive grip.
